A Reiki treatment is a deeply relaxing and stress-reducing experience that can provide valuable support for a range of conditions, including:
- Anxiety and depression
- Calming the nervous system and promoting better sleep
- Reducing blood pressure
- Supporting the immune system
- Improving concentration and creativity
- Helping spiritual growth and self-development
How it works: Reiki works on the principle that all illnesses and states of dis-ease in our lives are created first in our aura, the energy field that surrounds our physical body. They then show up in our physical body. When our energy is disrupted, weakened or blocked, we may experience symptoms such as fatigue, unhappiness and illness.
Reiki helps activate our body’s natural healing abilities by channelling energy into the client by means of subtle touch from the hands of a Reiki practitioner, acting as a conduit, to the body of the client.
The purpose of a Reiki treatment is to relieve stress and pain, induce relaxation, release emotional blockages, accelerate natural healing, balance subtle bodies energies and support other medical modalities including traditional therapies.
The experience clients have during a Reiki session vary greatly. During a session it is not uncommon for clients to experience some of the following; feeling the practitioners hands really hot or cold, feeling like there is more than one person treating them, stomach rumblings, legs and/or arms twitching, seeing colours while eyes are closed, feeling emotions coming up, sadness, frustration and even laughter. All of these experiences are normal as the body works to come back into balance.
Duration: A Reiki treatment lasts 60 minutes
“I cannot recommend a Reiki treatment with Jacqui enough. From the moment I arrived she made me feel comfortable, explained the treatment and answered my questions. Her warm and calming nature put me at ease. I had the best nights sleep that I have had in a long time”
